STORY SO FAR
I began my art career as a student at the Leith School of Art in 2005, specialising in drawing and painting. I went on to study Animation at the Edinburgh College of Art, graduating in 2010 with a BA (Hons). My degree film Noel, a short animated documentary about the jockey Noel Riddle in 1960/70s Zimbabwe featured at the Animated Encounters festival later that year in the Emerging Talent category.
Since graduating I took part in the TRC Media 2010 Gen Up Scotland Progamme, a training initiative for emerging digital talent. The programme included immersion weeks at BBC Scotland and Channel 4, plus an internship at Red Kite Animation studio in Edinburgh. In 2015 I worked as a character designer and animator for the animated short film Toonocalypse which premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival and was featured at film festivals worldwide.
I have worked in the online games industry since 2011 as a Games Artist, Concept Artist, Illustrator, Animator, Senior Designer and Lead Games Experience Designer. My work can be seen in a number of titles from my time at Sky Betting & Gaming, The 2D Workshop, Ninja Kiwi and Dynamo Games.
In my spare time I have undertaken training courses to further my knowledge and understanding of art practices and have also participated as a panel member at the University of York for their Careers & Placements events for students.
